Hey all, Im putting the kabosh on this right now I got a phone call from a friend late last night asking me if I posted my Fork on the musuem and I said no why? He told me all of my old pics of my fork were here and crap was hitting the fan! Heres the deal, early evening I got a text from a guy in Illinois asking me if I still had the prototype fork for sale, I said I had it in my safe why? He said he was interested in it because he had been buying and selling parts and said he had a couple of people interested in it and if it was cool for him to sell it and make a few bucks I said sure and I told him the details with it and he understood what I told him. I told him that these forks have been discussed here several times before and not to sell them here, I also told him once he saw how cool these things actually are he probably wouldnt want to sell them. Im sure this will prevent him from buying the fork from me and costing me money but it is being miss represented here and I will not go for that. There is no letter stating from Mr. Hutchins or anybody else for that matter that these were original forks with brakes on them from the factory. I am the Hutch sponsored rider that he is refering to, and I was a decent rider, no where close to woodys riding ability though, I was just a guy hutch sponsored because they thought I could sell their bikes for them. The forks are the ones that were on ebay and craigslist they are original trickstar forks with the longer pegs on them that I had custom 990 mounts welded to them so I could put on a set of the Hutch Brakes. The brake arms are NOS suntour and the brake bridge and actuator are original hutch the plastic sleeve in the fork tube was worn out and replaced with a stronger aluminum sleeve. Im sorry this guy miss represented them to everybody on here but there is no proof of anything when it comes to these brakes there were only a few made woody's claim of 4-6 is pretty accurate if you lean to the 6 side, however hutch did have enough spare parts to make probably 3-4 more sets which I ended up with. I Have 3 different prototype bridges that I may post pics of.I will also be responding to woodys post about me too in the catch all section. Im pretty fed up with a lot of the "collectors" on these sites and dont even have an interest in this stuff anymore because I have moved on, but when someone talks crap about me wheather its an average joe or the great wood itson im going to defend myself and im kinda pissed that I had to spend my night reading and responding to this stuff, I told the guy if you had a buyer great but I didnt know he was going to be stiring stuff up on the boards, I told him I didnt want myself or woody to get drug into this and this is what happens. The guy told me he was only making a few bucks on them .... Try $1000, I told him I would sell them for $1200 and I believe they are worth every penny of that but weather I sell them or I keep them really does not matter if they are to be sold you guys need to know the truth behind them.
