some like the wheels, some not.
personally i like black tuffs on a patterson.
i've also nos gold wheels but i think that would be to much gold on the bike.
so, let's do like bitd, tuffs for riding in the week (street) and the gold ones for the weekend at the races

Very nice bike and good choice for the wheels too ! I don't understand why so many people don't like this association. In the late 70' to the mid 80' they were on every nice BMX and were dream wheels for many of us who didn't have the cash to afford them. A lot of pros were riding with Skyway mags and they weren't all Graphit mags. I weight 91 kilos and in one of my OS BMX (a Mongoose Supergoose III) I ride with Skyway II. I just put a little more pressure on them.

C'est la nouvelle forme de snobisme sur 23 de ne plus aimé les vélos de race avec des roues Skyways. Tous les plus grands champions ont roulés pourtant avec des Skyway.

Je parle meme pas chez les amateurs.

C'est beaucoup plus réaliste pourtant que beaucoup de montages de roues à rayons que je vois.

Oui, Alex. Surtout que les Skyway montées sur ce spad ont des flasques et moyeux alu ou acier, donc bien en phase avec l'année du cadre/fourche. Par contre, peu ont relevé le choix du pédalier (un Boss datant de 1987 environ). Après, c'est une histoire de goût ou de disponibilité de pièces.
A Dany : salut ! Je suis content d'avoir l'opportunité de communiquer avec un super pilote que l'on pouvait admirer dans BX Mag. Ton Skyway TA m'a tant fait t rêver ! Je suis Suisse et on avait quelques excellents racers (pas moi) par chez nous : je pense que tu dois te souvenir de Vincent Claessens (Team Classidur), entre autres. En tout cas, encore merci pour tous ces instants magiques.

but if you speak about the Boss crank I used on the Patterson.
Boss cranks were used in 1984 (even maybe released in 1983, don't know for sure).
I've other cranks but those are for my future projects

Hello JJR !
It's not a critic, it's just that I'm a little bit surprised that some don't like the association of the Skyway Tuff and the bike, even it's correct era, but don't say anything about the crank. This Boss crank with 48 splined axle wasn't visible till 87. I know that Boss stuff was available before and that that was a connection between, Panda, Patterson and Boss. But it's just my appreciation, not a critic. I've seen your other builds and know you've taste.

I can accept critic don't be affraid
The crank is a early one, not the ones like you mention with the 48 splined axle (Profile axle).
This crank has a axle simular like a Redline one.
I've seen such crank in magazines from 1984 so i thought i can use it on this build.
Watch out for my future builds with the other cranks i have
